CLP Residence
Area : 84 sq.m. / Location : Bangkok, Thailand

The main idea of this residence is to create a black-and-white canvas. This monochromatic space aims to embody simplicity and serves as a background for the panoramic view of the city, emphasizing the advantages of living in a high-rise building. This subtly plain space also supports the owner’s choice of colorful decorations and allows for stylistic changes over time.

The living room is spatially connected to the dining and working spaces in order to maximize visual accessibility without the intervention of walls. In this room, white-colored elements are deployed to enhance brightness, reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day. In contrast, the corridor and kitchen are finished in black, making them functionally and spatially distinct from the living area. Here, spatial definition is achieved through the use of color.

The master bedroom is decorated in darker tones so that the space is filled with shadows. Through blackness, it signifies a more private area, suitable for the peacefulness and serenity of a sleeping area. Furthermore, from the main bathroom, located deeper within the floor plan, the owner can view the city through black-tinted glass, which allows visibility from the inside. The guest bathroom, by contrast, is decorated with gradient glass inspired by the colors of a sunset sky. The application of more colorful elements is reserved for this less private space.
